Our community welcomes anyone who is teaching traditional music, no matter how little or how much experience you have. We all need a little support now and again. So come and join us and find the help and support you need to help you do your best teaching.

As traditional music teachers we have not really had an opportunity until now to come together regularly to talk teaching. So, if you are tired and fed-up of always have to go it alone, then this is an investment in yourself and your professional practice.

Consider your subscription as a monthly business expense as well as a core element of your continuing professional development. Other professionals (school teachers, doctors, accountants etc.) engage with, and invest in their professional development all the time. Now we have the chance to do so as well. Can you afford not to join?

This members-only community includes forums that are designed around your specific needs as a traditional music teacher. There are no distractions and you can focus on asking the questions you want and always get a response from other members and/or our community leaders and moderators.

The other advantage is that you can easily search for anything on the site, so you can access everything quickly and easily.

And, of course, as well as the community forums and groups there is tons more content in the form of blogs, web/podcasts PLUS live Q&A sessions and webinars.

The content will build as the community builds and grows. New material will be added regularly. Everything will be archived and accessible through our HUB (blogs, webcasts etc.) and within the Forums (which are fully searchable).

We will email weekly highlighting top discussions, topics, upgrades and other activities. So you’ll always be kept up-to-date with what’s going on.

As with any online membership community you’ll soon find the approach that suits you best. Maybe you will like to check in every day to see what’s happening. Or, maybe you prefer to schedule time once or twice a week make that your time for your professional development as a traditional music teacher.  And, of course, don’t forget to put the dates for our live events in your diary – you won’t want to miss out!

Once you join – you are in! You’ll be brought right to your own members dashboard which you can customise with your own information.

You’ll be invited to take a short tour of the site as part of our onboarding process.

And to jump right in to the forums and introduce yourself.

You can explore previous content in the Hub.

Browse the conversations in the forums.

Connect with other members individually or in groups.

And, most importantly, start getting involved in the conversations.

Are you ready to transform your traditional music teaching?

Chances are you are like the rest of us. You’ve spent years learning and developing as a musician. And yet, here you are, flat out teaching, without ever having had any teaching or business training or support. Does this sound like you? Trust me, you are not alone!

Many of us “fall” into teaching without really planning it – and, as a result, we end up making it all up as we go along.

Because we never really seen how our peers teach, we tend to rely on the same methods over and over – and would not even know where to start to upskill.

Often we rely on teaching approaches and resources that our own teachers had used – and while these may be great, can we say, hand on heart, that they truly reflect our own style as an educator? Or that they are bang up to date and relevant for today’s students?

What about burnout? Nobody ever told you that teaching music involves long hours sorting out schedules, dealing with parents, making sure we get paid … sometimes the music feels like it is in short supply.

If any of this sounds familiar … you have come to the right place.
