The music of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada is very close to my heart. I wrote my PhD dissertation on the fiddle music of Cape Breton back in the 1990s, and published a book on the topic in 2015. How lucky was I to get to spend months and months in such an amazing place, with fabulous music and the best of people! I loved every minute of my ‘research’.
